Submission Rules

By entering the Contest, the Participant agrees to be bound by the Rules & Criteria as designed and published by the Organizer, Small Business BC.

Listed below are the general submission guidelines when entering a business plan or business application. 

General Submission Rules:

• Single space with Times New Roman font of letter size 12 on 8.5 x 11 paper (letter size);
• Plans may be submitted in either official language (English or French);
• Maximum length of application shall not exceed 25 pages, EXCLUDING Title Page, Table of Contents, Financials, and any Appendices;
• Contest submissions must be done by mail or sent in-person. FAXES and EMAILS WILL NOT BE ACCEPTED.
• Only choose ONE submission method (online, mail or in-person).
• All submissions are FINAL. There will be NO REPLACING DOCUMENTS OR PARTS THEREOF.
• Organizer will not be responsible for loss or damages to the materials submitted. All submissions will NOT BE RETURNED.
• All Business Start-Up Award Participants must read the Biz Start-Up Submission Format Rules before submitting their business plan.
• All Business Growth Award Participants must read the Biz Growth Submission Format Rules before submitting their application form.
